We all discussed some topics near & dear to our members in the Cazoomi Small Business community who are relentelessly trying to come up with innovative strategies for bringing customers to the front door, as well as effectively using Social Media Marketing strategies to drive sales.

What CRM would your company choose today if you had it to do all over again?

CRM Perspectives from a broad survey conducted by one of our favorite research houses | Nucleus Research

RESULTS FROM THE CRM SURVEY

Microsoft Dynamics     47%

Salesforce.com           23%

SugarCRM                  9%

NetSuite CRM             7%

Oracle CRM                6%

Sage CRM                  6%

RightNow                    2%

Our teams are experiencing similar percentages around CRM implementation requests coming thru our Build & Quote site this year.  One outlier however is Zoho CRM which accounts for almost 5%-6% of the requests for implementation so far coming thru our site in 2011.

As a CFO, CTO or executive decision maker faced with all the choices of CRM today it makes sense to take a look at the ROI of implementing each contrasted with the investment benefits gained.

Our members are also using this ROI tool, which has been downloaded by over 5MM, who really want something designed to help them build a financial business case to support their technology decision.

We hope you enjoy figuring out which CRM makes the most sense for your business in 2011.

"Sunday Night Thoughts on B2B for Small Business" by Jon Nicponski

B2B for the Small Business has long been a focus in my career and continues since joining as an Integration Advisor @Cazoomi.

In our effort to sync the systems of small businesses, which contribute most to our nation's growth as a technology powerhouse, Cazoomi has found that this effort is key to the second wave of growth around Cloud services.

At Cazoomi we see a lot of service companies catering to synchronization of applications for medium and large business.  These companies usually implement their solutions using a core of re-usable synchronization code and then relying on their consultants to write custom connectors to that code.   It is the necessity for up front customization that leads to large upfront costs and more often than not delays in implementing their solutions.

Today’s small and medium businesses are reaping huge benefits by utilizing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Constant Contact, ExactTarget, Get Satisfaction, Highrise CRM, PaySimple, SugarCRM, Zoho and Zendesk.   The key appeal for many of the customers of these applications is that there is no upfront cost and a simple pay as you go model.

When these same small businesses realize the need to synchronize information across two or more of these SaaS platforms, they are still confronted with a solutions implementation model, and they often avoid synchronization all together due to the large upfront cost.

At Cazoomi, with the help of our partners' platform offerings, we are working on a line of SaaS synchronization connectors that can be purchased on-line by companies with a low monthly fee and  NO upfront cost.  These solutions are configured simply at the time of purchase by the customer entering the credentials of the services they want synchronized, and then are instantiated real-time on each platform to begin working for the customer immediately.

Our key take-a-ways this month within our member network have been that offering a SaaS, small monthly fee sales model, to provide customers large company benefits is the way to reach those small businesses which contribute so much to our nation’s growth in so many ways.

*Update: July 4th week @cazoomi will announce it's new "simple framework" to allow small businesses to large enterprises to sync the systems they use on a daily basis to simplify & leverage their existing applications.
